I love character variants and I love Emma Frost. Naturally I was drawn to this decade variant cover of Dark X-Men!

If I got to choose another decade to be born in, it would totally be the 60s. When I go shopping for fabrics or prints of any kind, I'm always drawn to retro 60s style. So this was decided as soon as I saw it. I hunted down this fabric, which was discontinued. I think all my friends ooh'ed and aah'ed over the fabric itself.

I bought the bubbles, which I should have remembered to NEVER put the little stick back in (sticky), painted the glasses and bracelets. And I discovered that foam will stay attached to leather boots, saving me from making slight changes to them for a costume that's barely gonna get recognized. But it's comfy, and it's so me, and it's the best costume I have for just hanging out at the bar during a convention (other than Starbuck).
